Most of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe approximately 100 Rroma, many of them children, moved after the expulsion \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfrom Duisburg to the city. Since, they had to handle several chicanes of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnew owner: he tried to evade them again shortly after their arrival in the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmunicipality, what turned out to be illegal. The immediate future of the Rroma \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfamilies is therefore still unclear. After all, all children are enrolled in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlocal schools and the families are actively supported in their integration \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tefforts by the association future-oriented assistance (ZOF). The latest \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchallenge is not functioning heaters, which, in regard to the dawning winter, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tposes a serious problem<em>: \u201cNow the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfamilies with many small children and infants are threatened to live in homes \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twithout heating \u2013 and the cold months are just around the corner.<\/em> <em>There are different sources regarding how \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmany people are affected.<\/em> <em>The city \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand the social workers from the association future-oriented assistance (ZOF) estimate \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t70 people, who still live in the tenements at the Hagener Strasse 138 a and 138 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tb.<\/em> <em>The Roma themselves speak of 60 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeople, divided into six families. The city Ennepetal is informed. It wants to \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttalk to the landlord, with the aim that he performs his duties and ensures \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tproper conditions in the apartments. <\/em>[&#8230;] <em>The municipal commitment to improve the situation has also to be seen in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcontext of a threat to the children\u2019s welfare. Infants and young children in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thomes without a working heater can quickly become a case for the youth welfare \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tservices.\u201d<\/em> The association future-oriented assistance (ZOF) also wants to enable \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe best possible inclusion of the adults into the labour market; among others \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twith language courses. \u2013 In Germany, according to estimates of the Rroma \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFoundation, there live 110,000 to 130,000 Rroma. The majority of them have \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlived in Germany for generations and are well integrated. They are completely negated \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin the one-sided media debate about \u201cpoverty of immigrants\u201d, that are usually \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tequated with poor Rroma from Southeast Europe.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gruber, Andreas (2014) Roma leben in Wohnungen \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tohne Heizung.
