According to a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstudy by the Soros Foundation Discrimination of Rroma is not the main problem \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbut their blatant poverty is: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cPoverty is \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe main problem, not the discrimination, the researchers found: Of more than a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthousand Roma respondents in the four countries, 76 percent in Italy and 66 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpercent in Spain \u00a0felt \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdiscriminated against. In Romania, however, there were 40 percent and 34 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpercent in Bulgaria. In Hungary, where right-wing gangs terrorise and hunt Roma, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRoma hardly migrate to western EU countries.\u201d<\/em> So poverty is an equally \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\timportant factor in the preventing attending school or to a doctor visit. That \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdiscrimination and poverty are not in fact directly related is doubtful.
