Not all members of the group are criminal. A \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdemarcation [&#8230;] is a challenge due to complex family ties.\u201d <\/em>The defendants \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tare alleged to have defrauded seniors of tens of thousands of Euro through \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeliberate fraud. The initial differentiation, that not all family members were \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinvolved in criminal activities, is soon after followed by mentioning the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMannheim investigation unit \u201cCash Down\u201d. This police group is said to be specialized \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin the analysis of criminal structures among Roma clans. If this is true, the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMannheim police actually makes itself punishable. Investigations directly aimed \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tat ethnicity are illegal. They violate the anti-discrimination legislation. The \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tarticle further nourishes stereotypes of Rroma kings, who supposedly coordinate \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcriminal activities. If Lehberger were not explicitly referring to ethnic \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeculiarities, discrediting of the described individuals would be \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tunderstandable, due to the offenses they are accused of.
