The mother of the family, the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t21-year-old Albena Novakovic, lived with her parents in Germany until she was \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeported as a ten-year-old, back to Serbia. They faced massive discrimination upon \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tarrival and economic hopelessness: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cOn \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthat day in Serbia, for this young woman, began a life that she would prefer to \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tforget quickly. \u201cI am Roma. And that is the reason why a normal life in Serbia \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tis not possible for me\u201d, she says with a clear expression. \u201cI\u2019m insulted beaten \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand discriminated against in Serbia. But the worst thing is that I have no \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfuture there as a Rroma. No one wants to give me a job. As a Roma, life there \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tis Hell.\u201d<\/em> That\u2019s why Albena and her husband oppose the plans of the German \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgovernment to classify Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as safe countries \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof origin. The discrimination of the minority is anything but a relic of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpast. Currently, the family lives in Germany again, in Heinberg. But the fear \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tremains that the immigration authorities knock at the door and ask the family \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto come along. To return to a home that is not one for the family. Regarding \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe assessment of asylum cases, there is still the problem that personal \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\texperiences of migrants have no value compared to the official country analyses. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSince individual fates are often difficult to prove, the regulatory assessment \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the security situation in the countries concerned outweights the individual \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\texperience.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schaefer, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAndr\u00e9 (2014) \u201eAls Roma ist es in Serbien die reine H\u00f6lle\u201c.
