Decisive for the current outburst was \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe dispute between a Rroma child and an ethnic Czech child \u00a0who have been said to have been arguing \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin a sandbox about toys. The dispute spread to the parents and then included \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe neighbourhood who a stand against the Rroma mother. Around 22,000 people \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand several dozen Rroma live in the affected area of Ceske Budejovice. Last \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSaturday, groups of neo-Nazis tried to find the local Rroma and to lynch them. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn the subsequent street battle with the police, the right-wing radicals were \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcheered on by \u201cdecent\u201d citizens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mostyn (2013) adds that around 1,000 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tright-wing extremists marched into the settlement of Maj, where the majority of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBudweis\u2019 Rroma live. Mostyn describes the cause of the march as a brawl between \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRroma and ethnic Czechs, \u00a0and he \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstates that the dispute between the children represents only a single case in a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tseries of mutual hostilities. On the same day, residents of both communities in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta common celebration asked for the end of mutual hostilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It is worrying that it is the pogrom in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCeske Budejovice is not an isolated case. The events in Budweis are rather part \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof a chain of regularly recurring demonstrations against Rroma in the Czech \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRepublic.
