However, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe focus of the reporting is clearly on the demands of the Yeniche for more camping \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tspot and permanent stands. The Rroma problems, who have mainly to do with \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tracial prejudice, are only discussed in passing. On the occasion of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tInternational Rroma day of April the 8th, a coalition of various \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\torganizations \u2013 including the Roma Jam \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSession Collective, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe Yeniche organization \u201esch\u00e4ft \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tqwandt\u201d, the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRandgenossenschaft der Landstrasse, the Society for Threatened People, Amnesty \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tInternational, Caritas Zurich and Miret Switzerland \u2013 turned to federal \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcouncillor Alain Berset, demanded more commitment of the federal government and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tasked for a better implementation of the framework convention for the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprotection of national minorities. The federal government has now made a first move \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttowards the organizations. The director of the federal office of culture, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIsabelle Chassot, will listen to the concerns of the coalition in a joint \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmeeting. However, it should not go unmentioned that the stated organizations \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trepresent only a portion of the minorities. Other organizations represent \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdifferent political views and have different conceptions of an adequate \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trepresentation and promotion of the Rroma and Yeniche. The two communities \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tshare a story of exclusion and persecution, but have individual migration \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thistories, languages and customs (compare Burri 2014, Renz, Fabian\/ Schmid, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSimone 2014 I\/II).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Burri, Anja (2014) Politische Hilfe f\u00fcr Fahrende.
