The Alliance stated:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><em>\u201cThe mention \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin the Constitution is a small but strong step. It is now important that Roma \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand Sinti in our society actually get all the benefits and rights and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tantiziganism comes to an end. We welcome the fact that a parliamentary \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcommittee for the interests of the Sinti and Roma was created as a direct \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tconsequence of the constitutional amendment. It will be our task to achieve \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tconcrete improvements for the Sinti and Roma in this committee\u201d. (Jacob 2013)<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mueck-Raab (2013) \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\treports on the secret removal of a memorial for the Rroma murdered under \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNazism. In the Krautgarten school in Wiesbaden until recently on could find a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsmall glass display case with photographs and texts about the fate of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeportees Maria Theresa Lehmann and her family. Along with about a hundred \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tother Rroma the region, they were taken to a local jail, photographed and a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnumber was tattooed numbered on their arm. This was followed by deportation to \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta concentration camp. The memorial was set up in 2006 under the initiative of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe then headmistress. The showcase now contains football trophies. The \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchildren of Theresa Lehmann are outraged. The exhibits were not returned to \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthem, contrary to the statements of a representative of the school. By email it \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twas said: \u201cA memorial has never existed in the Krautgarden school\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The case to the removed \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmemorial raises the question of the importance of remembering against the need \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto forget or to dispel. To truly forget, one needs to accept the past. This can \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tonly happen via the conscious recollection of the past.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Prime Minister Torsten \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAlbig, in a speech in Kiel, spoke about the importance of remembering the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeportation of Rroma in Germany. On 16 May 1940, 2.000 Rroma were arrested in northern \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGermany, \u201cracially\u201d evaluated and taken to concentration camps, where they were \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\texterminated. The Prime Minister said: \u201cWe owe it to the victims of the Nazi \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgenocide to keep the memory year after year. [&#8230;] We remind with this ceremony \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta time where respect of others did not exist. We long for a fair relationship \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbetween majority and minority\u201d (02elf evening paper).
