The two directors give five Rromni who fled from the war in Kosovo \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tavoice. The filmmakers already knew a Rroma family from Kosovo, through their \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twork for the organization <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">R\u00e9seau \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u00e9ducation sans fronti\u00e8res<\/em> (RESF). The film wants to establish a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcounter-image to the strongly negative loaded representation and perception of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tminority by the media and the public: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cBy \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trealizing our documentation, we wanted to show the true face of this community: \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeople like everyone else with the same desires and objectives: live free, work, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\traise their children in peace, being accommodated decently.\u201d \u00a0<\/em>For the five eyewitnesses, the film \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tis also a revelation of their own history and identity to the public: \u201c<em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">They are now well integrated in France and Germany. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNo one knows that they are Rroma! Not even their colleagues, not even her \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfriends. They kept their identity systematically secret, for fear of being \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trejected.\u201d <\/em>This film is also a call for more social tolerance and a more \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thumane asylum policy.
