M\u00e1rton attempts to sensitize adolescents on prejudices  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand challenge thought patterns by discussions in Hungarian schools. He has had to  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeal with insults during the short teaching sessions without taking it  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpersonally. A study on eurocentrism in Central Europe shows the link between  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlack of education and the responsiveness to racist concepts: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cAn existing relationship between the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpredisposition for discrimination and poverty is reported by Gy\u00f6rgy Csepeli,  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAntal \u00d6rk\u00e9ny, and M\u00e1ria Sz\u00e9kelyi in their 2000 study on ethnocentrism in  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCentral Europe. It found that both those who live under socially and  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\teducationally poor conditions are more susceptible to discriminate others and  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthat poor people are more often victims of discrimination. Times of crisis bring  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tforth scapegoats and those who point their fingers at them.\u201d <\/em>Meanwhile, M\u00e1rton  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpins his hopes on the integrating, bridge-building impact of education.
