Morel (2013) reports on decreasing rates of crimes that are apparently being \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcommitted by southern European Rroma clans. This isn\u2019t supposed to mean that \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe numbers of offenses have effectively decreased, but that the offenders act \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmore skilfully and unobtrusively, according to Morel. They are apparently \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tacting in a more focused way, renting less rooms in cheap hotels, they are \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tscattered in public transport to attract less attention. Recently, the suspects \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twere mainly minor Rromnja in groups of two. For Morel and his informants there \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tis no doubt that there are internationally organized Rroma clans behind these \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tactivities: \u201eLes \u00e9quipes de tziganes, qui agissent jusqu\u2019\u00e0 cinq fois par jour, ont \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u00e9galement renouvel\u00e9 leur mani\u00e8re de transporter leur butin, constitu\u00e9 d\u2019argent \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tet de bijoux. D\u00e9sormais, elles n\u2019h\u00e9sitent pas \u00e0 se l\u2019ins\u00e9rer dans le sexe pour \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpasser la fronti\u00e8re. Selon la police, elles font partie d\u2019un r\u00e9seau \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinternational qui pourrait \u00eatre bas\u00e9 en Belgique, en r\u00e9gion parisienne ou dans \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tl\u2019est de la France. Once again it must be \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstressed that Rroma are not more delinquent than people of other ethnic groups. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe idea of organised Romany clans feeds absurd and false ideas of culturally-related \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcrimes. These assumptions are stupid and should be relegated ad acta.<\/p>\n
