{"id":31263,"date":"2026-01-28T16:16:36","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T15:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rroma.org\/?p=31263"},"modified":"2026-01-28T16:16:36","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T15:16:36","slug":"slovenia-and-roma-59","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rroma.org\/de\/slovenia-and-roma-59\/","title":{"rendered":"Slovenia and Roma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The president of the People&#8217;s Initiative of Dolenjska, Silvo Mesojedec, is criticising sharly Roma NGOs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Instead of finally confronting the causes that led to this situation (non-attendance at school, crime, unemployment), they are now attacking those rare solutions that are trying to establish order.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The president of the Roma Association of Slovenia Umbrella &#8211; De\u017enik wrote that almost 1,300 Roma families were pushed into absolute poverty with one political decision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The so-called \u0160utar legislation and the policies of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia have pushed the Roma community back centuries. The elderly, the sick and children have been left without food, water and electricity.
