The Rroma he portrays correspond to many \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstereotypes that people have about this minority: due to their membership to \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPentecostal church, contraception is forbidden and the families of the village have \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tan average of ten to twelve children. Of the seven thousand residents of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tvillage, thousand live today in the Harzerstrasse in Berlin-Neuk\u00f6lln, he states. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWith this statements, Schwarz nullifies his own attempt towards a balanced reporting, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tas he presents a seemingly incontrovertible evidence that a mass migration to \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGermany indeed takes place. That F\u00e2nt\u00e2nele is not representative of all \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tvillages in Romania, is not stated. On the other hand, Schwarz presents a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdetail account of the relationship of local Rroma community to the Pentecostal \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchurch, to which almost all villagers belong: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cToday, the church is the core of the community, it sets all rules. It \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tforbids its members to drink and smoke. There is no pub in F\u00e2nt\u00e2nele, and no \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tone smokes. Equally, it prohibits abortions and any kind of contraception. The \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnew religion stabilised the families and promoted the cohesion of the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcommunity. The sobriety requirement preserves families in crisis from \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdescending into the underclass. They also save themselves a lot of money that \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tothers spend on liquor and cigarettes. However, the limitation of the talents \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto sacred music ended an important source of income, and the prohibition of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcontraception boosted the birth rates. Families with ten, twelve children are \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe rule in F\u00e2nt\u00e2nele. [&#8230;] The Roma who emigrate in order to work as a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdemolition labourers, as a flyer distributors, or as a construction workers, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thave no different motivation than the Romanian doctors who get headhunted from \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGerman hospitals: all of them hope for a better life and a better future for their \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tchildren.\u201d <\/em>However, Schwarz does not mention distinctly enough that Rroma only \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trepresent a portion of the immigrants to Western Europe. Many ethnic Romanians, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twho account for the majority of the country, migrate to the north. In addition, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnot all Rroma belong to the Pentecostal church, which prohibits contraception. More \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthan a few Rroma have qualifications and practice contraception. By focusing on \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthis specific village and this group of Rroma, Schwarz reproduces the notion of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta mass immigration to Germany, despite all his historical contextualization and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdifferentiation of Rroma groups.
