The offender was also sentenced to pay an indemnity of  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t600 Euros to the organisation <em>Mouvement  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcontre le racisme et pour l\u2019amiti\u00e9 entre les peuples (Mrap)<\/em>, which had  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcharged R\u00e9ault as a private plaintiff: <em>\u201cThe  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsentence has been pronounced. More than a year after he had published a tweet  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin which referred to the Roma camp in the north, Didier R\u00e9ault was sentenced on  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThursday. The judiciary has found him guilty of \u201chaving inciting hatred,  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdiscrimination and violence.\u201d It also sentenced the UMP assistant of the mayor  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto a fine of 1000 Euros on probation, and prompted him to pay 600 Euros in  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdamages to the organisation \u201cMouvement contre le racisme et pour l&#8217;amiti\u00e9 of  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpeuples (Mrap)\u201d. The latter represents the private plaintiff. On June the 8th,  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t2013, Didier R\u00e9ault republished a first call of throwing Molotov cocktails in  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe context of a Roma camp in the north of Hellemmes. The deputy wrote: \u201cSee  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tyou soon in Marseille for the same action\u201d, making an allusion to a Roma camp  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tin the 10th arrondissement of Marseille\u201d <\/em>(Planet 2014). Didier R\u00e9ault is not  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tan isolated case. Repeatedly, various politicians in France have been sentenced  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfor racist remarks on Rroma.
