The family fled from \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdiscrimination in Hungary to Canada and applied for political asylum. However, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCanada has declared Hungary a safe country of origin, whereby asylum \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tapplications from that country are seldom accepted. The Buzas\u2019 family applied \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfor admission based on humanitarian grounds in December 2013. The request \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tremains unanswered until today. Nevertheless, Canadian authorities have set the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfamily\u2019s expulsion for July 3rd this year. Through the support of the public, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe parents hope to avert the deportation: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cIn \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta statement to the public, Renata Buzas said she hopes to stay in Canada in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\torder to protect her children. &#8220;Each day, my children suffered from mental \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand physical abuse at school because of their Roma origins. No mother can \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttolerate that. Here in Canada they don&#8217;t have to be afraid; they can be \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthemselves, they can evolve and flourish,&#8221; said Buzas\u201d <\/em>(Katawazi \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t2014). Regarding the assessment of asylum cases, the problem remains that the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpersonal experiences of migrants are not relevant compared to the official \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcountry analyses. Since individual fates are often difficult to prove, the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tregulatory assessment of the security situation in the countries concerned \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\toutweighs. Regarding the case of discrimination against minorities, the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsecurity situation is difficult to assess, because the individual experiences \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdo not necessarily correspond to official assessments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Katawazi, Miriam (2014) Roma family fights against \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeportation to Hungary.
