The genocide is called by some activists \u201cPharrajimos\u201d or \u201cPorrajmos\u201d, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twhich is supposed to mean \u201cdevouring\u201d a terminology that is not widely \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trecognised among Rroma. Privot see the currently very poor recognition of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgenocide as an important reason for the lack of integration of Rroma in Europe. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe idea to declare the second of August as a memorial for the genocide of Rroma \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgoes back to the Hungarian European Parliament MEP Livia jarok. Her proposal \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\thas not yet been approved by the EU. The remembrance day is therefore still not \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tan official one. Jarok hopes to give more public recognition with the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\testablishment of a commemoration of the exclusion of Rroma. The Rroma history \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmust be part of European history teaching. Only in this way can one reflect on \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe long-term integration of Rroma.
