The organization comes to the conclusion that the discrimination \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tagainst Rroma in Austria is perceived as a massive by the questioned people: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cA clear majority of Austrians (74 percent) \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsees Roma and Sinti currently affected by persecution, expulsion and racist \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tviolence. 68 percent of the polled people said that Roma and Sinti are group \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tparticularly discriminated against in Europe. Concerning Austria, 54 percent \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tagreed with this statement. Measures against discrimination, in support of Roma \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand Sinti (for example, social counselling and labour market projects) are \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfavoured by 59 percent of the population.\u201d<\/em> The president of the <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Volkshilfe<\/em>, Erich Fenniger, demands more \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tclarification about the Rroma in Austria and the promotion of positive images \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tabout Rroma by all members of society.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>APA (2014) Welt-Roma-Tag: Volkshilfe f\u00fcr mehr Chancengleichheit und verst\u00e4rkte \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAnti-Rassismusarbeit.
