{"id":1406,"date":"2014-03-07T01:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-07T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ rroma.org\/07-03-2014-french-rroma-doctor-suspended\/"},"modified":"2014-03-07T01:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-03-07T01:00:00","slug":"07-03-2014-french-rroma-doctor-suspended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rroma.org\/fr\/07-03-2014-french-rroma-doctor-suspended\/","title":{"rendered":"07.03.2014 French \u201cRroma doctor\u201d suspended"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">Christophe Lamarre, who amongst \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tothers, treats a large community of Rroma in Roubaix, was suspended from his \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twork by the tribunal of social security for a period of four months. In its \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\texplanations for the suspension, the tribunal refers to the unlawful \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprescription of drugs, both in terms of quantity as well as duration: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cHe prescribed Subutex and other substances \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tderived from morphine in too big quantities and for too long periods [ &#8230; ] The \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trules concerning prescribed Toxika are very strict: not more than 28 days \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twithout interruption. These errors in the prescription can be very dangerous \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfor patients.\u201d <\/em>Lamarre was not suspended, as some media announced \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tincorrectly, due to exceeded working hours. In 2009, following an investigation \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdue to anomalies in his prescriptions, a health insurance of Roubaix filed a suit \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tagainst Lamarre. Lamarre was trying to show that he had already reduced the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprescriptions of morphine when receiving the complaint from the insurance by \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t40%. Nevertheless, in November 2013 he was sentenced to a four-month suspension \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof his profession, two of them on probation. In the district of Roubaix, where \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLamarre practices, one doctor is responsible for 10\u2019000 inhabitants.
