The \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tyouth welfare office justifies its action with reference to the precarious living \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsituation of the family: the Romanian Rroma family is said to have lived under \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tproblematic conditions in an hut without heating and running water. The F\u00f6rderverein Roma takes a very different viewpoint: <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201ctaking the two children into care [is] a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tclear case of<\/em> <em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u201cpunishment of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpoverty\u201d. The family was not illegal, but lived in the hut with the consent of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe owner. Just because the parents cannot finance an own apartment because of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttheir poverty, the children are taken away from them.\u201d <\/em>The association is \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcommitted to find a reasonable accommodation for the whole family and for the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tparents to receive social welfare.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Voigts, Hanning (2014) \u201eBestrafung von Armut\u201c.
