It  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsentenced nine Rroma because of racist acts. They are reported to have attacked  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmembers of the racist Hungarian Guard. Already in 2010, several Rroma were convicted  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof racially motivated violence. At that time, the decisive evidence for the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tverdict was a stick marked with \u201cDeath to Magyar\u201d. Magyar is the name given to  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe members of the Hungarian majority society. The judgment of the court is somewhat  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsensitive, \u00a0as the banned Hungarian  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGuard had held a meeting in the village in question with the aim of  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tintimidating the local Rroma. The indictment of racial hatred in the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcondemnation ignored this context.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHungarian Council for Mass Media has fined for the newspaper \u201cMagyar Hirlap\u201d of  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe right-wing populist Zolt Bayer for incitement of hatred against the Rroma.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBayer had compared the Rroma with animals and called for their extermination. The  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\treason behind these inflammatory articles was a conflict between Hungarians and  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRroma on New Year\u2019s Eve 2012\/2013 was (Stimme Russlands, 2013).<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In a  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpublic announcement, The Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has described  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRroma as being the \u201chidden resource and reserve the Hungarian economy\u201d. He  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twants to distance himself from the positions of his Fidesz party, which has  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trepeatedly been accused of racism against members of the minority. This  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJanuary, the government has introduced an Arbitration Council for Roma Affairs,  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\theaded by Orban himself.
