D\u00f6hner (2014) reports on \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe European migration regulations, on the basis of a tragic individual case. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIrijana Rustemi is born in the Kosovo in 1978. At the age of three the Rromni immigrates \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twith her parents to Croatia. In 1993, they come to Germany. Because of massive \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfamily conflicts with the family of her ex-husband, who feels provoked by the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnew partner of Rustemi, she and her family flee to Denmark for 22 months. This \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\texit becomes a calamity for the family: \u201cIf \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\trefugees enter Germany over a \u201csafe third country\u201d, they can not apply for \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tasylum here, but only in the country over which they have entered.\u201d<\/em> Now the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlarge family is facing deportation into the Kosovo, although all children of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRustemi are born in Germany and go to school there. Rustemi had previously received \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ta residency permit on humanitarian grounds, but it was cancelled due to the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdeparture to Denmark. In Denmark their asylum application was rejected.<\/p>\n
