The young man had committed  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttheft in the Swiss border area and was convicted and sentenced by the criminal  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tjudge Enrico Rosa, to two years of unconditional imprisonment despite the plea  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the prosecution and defensem\u00a0  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfor a milder sentence. Christian Mensch sees that judgment in the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcontext of a conflict between Rosa and the Basle prosecutor about heavier  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsentences. As a magistrate and as an expert Rosa had earlier repeatedly  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcriticized the prosecutor\u2019s office work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthis context the case of 21-year-old Romany is now being re-discussed, with the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\taim of \u201csensible\u201d reduction of the penalty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Rroma  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tare often mentioned as in this article only in a negative context (here theft)  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand as such, the press offers a distorted view of the Rroma.
