Marth (2013) \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinforms on the changes of the Zurich street prostitution since the opening of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe urban Sex-boxes and the closure of the open scene on the Zurich Sihlquai. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSocial control in the new place have led to the pimps but also related \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprostitutes to avoid it: \u201cWhere they are and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twere their women went, one does not know. Probably in a different European \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcity. Relocation to other places in Switzerland were not observed in any case – \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tas far as one could judge.\u201d<\/em> The street prostitutions on the Sihlquai was \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tused to present a one-sided picture of prostituted Rroma women, although their \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRroma appurtenance was anything but clear.<\/p>\n

Scharrer \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t(2013) adds that the walk by \u201copportunity clients\u201d at the new site has been \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlost. They do \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tnot prevent the trafficking of women and impede access to low-level support.\u201d <\/em>\u00a0Amazing is that this opinion by Scharrer \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tis derived from the of the organisation on women migration and trafficking \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t(FIZ). Besides their declared fight against human trafficking, FIZ argues for a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdifferentiated view on prostitution: sex work and trafficking should have be \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tclearly distinguished. The largest part of prostitution is done voluntarily. The \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tconnection between prostitution and human trafficking is referred to as a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tvictim discourse. The FIZ therefore opposes a holistic ban as it was imposed in \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSweden (Boos 2013). The important question as to whether prostitution committed \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tout of economic necessity can be qualified as being voluntary. Moreover, such a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tview trivialises prostitution which happens under duress conditions, be they \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthose of pimps or under the free market.<\/p>\n
