As a result of the new EU citizenship of many European  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcountries, Rroma have become the target of a national planning policy and their  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsituation has also deteriorated. To counteract the tendency of increasing  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmarginalization and exclusion, an investment in the education of the young  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tgeneration is essential. That&#8217;s why he has funded the Roma Education Fund (REF)  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\twhich helps more than 100,000 pupils and students every year. However, the work  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the Fund is not sufficient on its own when the respective States do not  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tactively participate in better integration of the Rroma. In addition, the private  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsector needs to be reminded of its duty: \u201c<em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">L\u2019objectif  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u00e9ducatif n\u2019est cependant pas suffisant. Les Roms doivent pouvoir \u00eatre en mesure  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tde trouver un emploi. La possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019une solution durable exigerait de  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tl\u2019Europe qu\u2019elle b\u00e2tisse une classe ouvri\u00e8re rom. Le secteur priv\u00e9 a ici lui  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\taussi un r\u00f4le \u00e0 jouer.<\/em>\u201d \u00a0<em style=\"font-family: Arial;\">[The educational objective is not  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tsufficient. The Roma need to be able to find work. A durable solution to the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRoma problem requires Europe to build a Roma worker class.\u201d] <\/em>It cannot be that one waits  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpassively for an improvement of the situation.
