{"id":23266,"date":"2024-03-05T07:37:03","date_gmt":"2024-03-05T06:37:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rroma.org\/?p=23266"},"modified":"2024-03-05T07:37:03","modified_gmt":"2024-03-05T06:37:03","slug":"23266-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rroma.org\/fr\/23266-2\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sinti and Roma have had their home in Germany for centuries &#8211; and yet they are still subjected to severe discrimination today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to six million Jews, 500,000 Sinti and Roma were murdered in Nazi-occupied Europe during the Holocaust.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It took four decades until the then German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt recognized the genocide against Sinti and Roma under international law in 1982. In 2022, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier described antigypsyism and the continued injustice against Sinti and Roma after 1945 as a \u201csecond persecution\u201d and asked Sinti and Roma for forgiveness.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sinti und Roma in Deutschland und der Antiziganismus.
