Many expulsions in France this last week, just before the usual winter pause. This week we start in Marseilles, where 200 Roma were expulsed, where 50 Roma children are at risk, and where 150 Roma occupied empty offices before leaving peacefully.
\nIn Western France, in Normandy, several Roma who attacked another camp are in front of the justice; in Bordeaux, the city wants to create sites for Roma; in Indres, Roma travellers who were expulsed are still blocked while two other expulsions were carried out; in Nantes, 200 Roma found a place to squat on an industrial site; in the Centre of France, in St. Etienne, Roma who were expulsed have still not found new lodgings; and in Lyon, the largest squat was closed.
\nIn the North, in Lille, a camp was dismantled; and another one was closed in spite of the winter pause on expulsions; in Haubourdin, a family was re-lodged; in Maubeuge, two families found another housing. Important, in the North, the winter pause on expulsion will also be applied to shantytowns.
\nIn Paris and its surroundings, the petite ceinture camp will be closed for the umpteenth time; and in Argenteuil, a camp was closed.<\/p>\n
