Organized by Roma media and supported by Telegraf, an important meeting was held between representatives of Roma editorial offices and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Mr. Ninoslav Jovanović.

The occasion for the gathering was an open dialogue on the current position of the Roma community in the Republic of Serbia, as well as on the initiative to establish the Roma Foundation, a fund that is currently in the legal procedure phase and whose adoption is expected in the coming months.

Among those evaluated is the news server ROMEA.cz, which achieved the highest mark.

“It is the result of many years of work and efforts of our team, which tries to bring quality, objective and up-to-date information about events from the Roma world,” says Zdeněk Ryšavý, director of the ROMEA organisation.

“After a family scandal, a 47-year-old father and his 20-year-old son from the Roma neighbourhood “Kosharnik” beat up their 27-year-old son-in-law. As a result of the fight, the injured son in law suffered moderate physical damage, with 2 broken ribs, a concussion and a head wound.”

Bad enough, but certainly not dead.
