The Rroma Foundation

The Rroma Foundation (Rromani Fundacija) was founded in November 1993, in Zurich, Switzerland. The foundation was created at a moment when the countries of Europe were getting closer, heralding the extension of the European community, while at the same time nationalistic and racist movements were on the rise former communist countries.

The Rroma Foundation is a registered foundation subject to Swiss law and subject to review by the Swiss Federal Authorities of its yearly budget and report of activities. The Foundation’s Executive Board decides on the various projects and allocation of funds, and is also in charge of the fund-raising and public relations. The Foundation’s Advisory Board reviews submitted projects and activities and advices the executive board. The Foundation has collaborators in various Eastern European countries.
