Quite a few news in France this week. First, a huge fire in Marseilles nearly totally burnt a Roma camp. Near Paris, Roma are returning to a camp that burnt down last week. In Paris itself, the camp on the tracks of the former petite ceinture railway can stay for another month; near Paris too, a camp that was vacated last week left a mountain of trash. Further south, in Lyon, 145 Roma were expulsed. This is deemed the “largest” camp in Lyon …
In Nice, the concern is on the schooling of the young Roma from the camp – at least a constructive approach!
And finally, a view against the exclusion policies of the French state.

Slovakia: Plan for Integration

The government has earmarked 51 millions of euros to help to combat discrimination against Roma. Two new Action Plans, focusing on the area of ​​non-discrimination and access to the majority society, are part of the Strategy of the Slovak Republic for Roma Inclusion by 2020.
