An appeal to the EU Commission to defend the rights of Roma in Italy. While the EU is going to court against several central European countries for their discriminating policies against Roma, they are not doing anything in Italy.

It is well known that Italy forces Roma into camps and keeps them there instead of trying to integrate them in society. But in some of these camps, the most basic amenities like water are missing. This is the case of the camp of Castel Romano, which has been without water for 34 days.

Virginia Raggi, the mayor of Rome has pledged to close the Roma camps around Rome after having secured funds from the EU.
Nice, but since she has been elected she has repeated that pledge several times, and has even opened a new camp. So wait and see. Facts are more important that words.
