Mateo Salvini, the current Italian leader of the Lega Nord – the far right party which won a large number of seats in the recent Italian elections found nothing better than to comment on the International Roma day by saying:

“if many of them worked more and stole less, if many of them sent their children to school instead of teaching them to steal, then it really would be something to celebrate”.

On the flip side, yet another fire in a Roma camp near that same city. In Lille, in the north, a medical bus is doing the rounds in Roma camps.
