Summer pause on the news in France on Roma. A fire in a camp near Paris blocked one highway; in Triel sur Seine, a camp can stay – at least temporary; in Ivry, near Paris, 60 Roma were evicted from a squat; 13 families who were evicted a year ago in Montreuil are still on the street; in the North, an association is trying to find a suitable spot for a camp; and in the southwest, in Toulouse, residents complain of migrants squatting in their courtyard.

Very few news this week on France and Roma. In the North of France, neighbours of a Roma camp are fed up with the situation and are asking for the closure of the camp; also in the North, one squat has been closed down; while near Paris, a camp will be shut down shortly; and finally near Nantes in Western France, an association is looking for caravans to relocate Roma (who probably never lived in caravans in the first place).
