A Rroma organisation, the association of the 21^st of July, is challenging the Italian government to close all remaining camps within 5 years and integrate the Rroma who are currently living there. Knowing that the police, the state, and NGOs all benefited from these camps in Italy, this will be a challenge.

With an emergency measure, the European Court of Human Rights, adopting an emergency measure, ordered the Italian Government not to proceed with the eviction of a disabled Rromni and her daughter from the former paper mill in via Salaria, in Rome, as set out in recent weeks by the Administration Capitoline.

The current president of the International Romani Union, Normunds Rudevics wrote a letter to the Italian authorities protesting the planned evacuation of a camp with 35 Rroma families near Rome.

Several Italian Rroma organizations are protesting the tender for managing segregated Rroma villages that are meant to replace the current squats. This has already been tried in Italy and is the main reason why there are still so many camps around cities and the capital in particular.

Several Rroma families in Milan and Rome are being threatened with eviction. Again, it is one of those situations of camps in Italy that have never been really properly handled nor ever thought over…

Very few Italian cities and regions respect the law regarding the establishment of round tables for the integration of Rroma. The city of Rome recently finally created such an instrument.

The burial of a Mafia boss in Rome did make it to the press. It was outlandish, and according to the reports, this was a Sinti syndicate… Far from sure, which is why we never published anything on this at all. This article summarises the entire story and asks the right questions. This is scary!

Massimo Bitonci, the mayor of Padova, is literally fuming against refugees and tries by all means to get rid of them. He has also little good to say to Roma in general. This is DANGEROUS.
