The 15th annual Gypsy Fest took place in Bratislava. It is the fourth largest Roma festival in the world. It was unusually held in November.

The Roma Academic Club organized a discussion in the Regional and Study Library in Murska Sobota while reading Roma literature entitled Sar zapisje Romi [How Roma write]. An exhibition titled Me som _ Jaz sem [I am] was also on display. The traditional mini Roma Olympics took place in Murska Sobota, where children could try out several sports. Maribor’s Kralji ulice association orgnised an excursion to Murska Sobota for Romnja. With the recording of the concert, one will remember the musician Igor Misdaris, the singer of the band Šukar.
The Łódź Festival of Many Cultures began in 2002. At that time, Witold Halski created the formula of the Festival of Dialogue of Four Cultures. At that time, it was about Polish, German, Jewish and Russian culture. Later, the name changed, and this year it was decided to broaden the scope of the event. Today, the festival wants to tell more about contemporary Łodź. Ukrainian, Belarusian and Roma influences are also strongly present in Łódź.
The festival began on Friday (October 4) and will last until Sunday (October 13). Almost 60 events have been planned, including concerts, exhibitions and film screenings. There are more Roma centred event this year.

Prague Pride festival, which officially began on Monday evening on Strelecky Island in Prague. The LGBT+ festival is taking place for the fourteenth time. It culminates this coming Saturday with a rainbow pride parade. The organizers expect that 70,000 people could participate in it. The festival also includes a Roma program organized by ARA ART.
TheCzech town of Hradec Králové hosted the third annual Roma Music Festival on Saturday afternoon. There were several hundred people and several bands.
On August 8, 2024 – the birthday of the legendary North Macedonian singer Esma Redžepova – the International “Gypsy” Song Day will be held for the third time. This year, 15 venues in six countries will participate in the event series and 50 bands will perform at home and abroad on the initiative of Mihály “Mazsi” Rostás. The face of the series of events is Mónika Lakatos, a Romani singer who won the Kossuth and WOMEX Lifetime Achievement Awards. The International Gypsy Song Day celebrates diversity with the participation of legendary Gypsy and non-Gypsy artists with a range of venues and programs that expand every year.
Over the weekend, Nitra, in Slovakia, will host the eighth annual international Roma festival called Amaro Fest 2024 – open air gipsy festival. As the organizers from the civic association Roma Art Agency stated, in addition to promoting culture, the festival is supposed to support Roma identity and contribute to the social and cultural inclusion of Roma. “Amaro Fest 2024 will offer performances by professional Roma artists from abroad and from home. The audience will see dynamic dance ensembles and the world star from Germany Ricard Kwiek with a live band, Ján Bendig will come from the Czech Republic,” the organizers informed.
The Roma culture festival Ara Fest has become a tradition in recent years. Since its inception in 2017, however, it has grown considerably – not only in terms of the program, but also in terms of the number of cities where it takes place.
This year, for the first time, Ara Fest will take place in four Czech cities. The festival “string” will begin in Pilsen, where the program is divided into three days from July 4 to 6. It will continue from 17 to 19 July in Brno, from 22 to 24 August it will delight the residents of Ostrava, and in Jablonec nad Nisou from 6 to 7 September.
On July 13 and 14, the eighth annual international Roma festival called Amaro Fest 2024 – open air gipsy festival – will be held in the Nitra amphitheater in Central Slovakia. As the organizers from the civic association Roma Art Agency stated, the goal of the event is to promote and develop Roma culture. The role of the festival is also to support Roma identity and contribute to the social and cultural inclusion of Roma.
The Roma festival was recently held in Karviná. Temperamental rhythmic music sounded in the summer cinema area all Saturday afternoon and evening. Various ensembles from the Czech Republic and Slovakia alternated on stage, creating a great atmosphere for all visitors.
