Rome and Camps

There are great expectations on the conclusion of the people’s initiative regarding the closure of Roma camps. The document, signed by thousands of Roman citizens, was presented in July two years ago to end up in drawers first under Ignazio Marino and then under the Special Commissioner Francesco Paolo Tronca postponing the delicate issue of Roma camps. Today is finally revived thanks to repeated requests by the organizing.

Art and Gypsies

An exhibition in Scotland called “Gypsy Maker” was commissioned by a Rroma organisation with two installations by contemporary artists aiming to engage Gypsy Roma Traveller communities with the wider public.
