A children kanoo team was apparently assaulted by 11 Roma armed with picks and shovels who are now on trial.
Well the story is bizarre and the webpage is even worse so. It is openly anti Roma and relays tons of stories against them and about their “criminal” tendencies.

Jobbik: In Case You Had Any Doubts

A Jobbik Party member, Tibor Ágoston, in Debrecen (Eastern Hungary), created an uproar when he opposed a scholarship for a gifted Roma student. He spoke against the support of the student:
“If we once say that Arany János Talent-Care Program, then arrange the talents and not those who want to give a chance to show whether he is gifted or not. Or let’s do a program called Rostás Winnetou, and it’s a catch-up program. ”

A reportage on a project of Caritas in Bosnia to help children integrate in the school system. The project is run in ten primary schools in Bosnia.
The article contains the usual views on Roma – better learn rather than beg – and fails to indicate that ten school are only a few of the one needed. But much more, it fails to say that many Roma were victims of the war and were evicted from their original homes.

Bulgaria: Extremist?

Ahmed Musa, a Roma Imam from Pazardzhik was accused of spreading radical Islam. He has been released on bail pending judgement. This is not the first time, he was convicted of the same offense a while back and sentenced to prison, a sentence that was overturned later.
On TC, when asked whether he had contacts with Islamic State he said “there hasn’t been an Islamic State for 1400 years”.

Forced Sterilisations

An exhibition on forced sterilisations in Koblenz, Germany. The Exhibition centres on the times of the Nazis in Germany but one should not forget that this practice was still common in the Czech and Slovak republic until very recently, and that countries like Switzerland (last know case 1992) or Sweden continued the practice way after World War Two.
