It seems that after nearly 30 years, the pig farm on the site of the Lety concentration camp will go. The Czech Government apparently convinced the owners to sell.

The victims of lead poisoning in the UN refugee camp in Kosovo are still awaiting justice and compensation. The UN had opened a camp for Roma IDPs on an industrial site contaminated by heavy metals.

The Roma flag was flown on several official buildings in the Czech Republic for the Roma Holocaust Remembrance Day on August 2nd.

Many Roma were displaced by the combats in Eastern Ukraine and are struggling to find a place elsewhere in the Ukraine, as discrimination and prejudice is ripe.

A Bulgarian, Petar Nizamov, is hunting refugees and Roma at the Bulgarian Turkish border. He is the president of a group called “Civic Group for the Defence of Borders, Woman, and Faith”, and has regularly been accused of violence against Roma. He is also claiming not to have any reveues but flouts expensive cars and lifestyle…
