A new recourse against the interdiction of begging in the canton of Vaud has been filed in the Swiss Federal Tribunal. The canton had passed this law even tough the number of beggars is ridiculously low (less than a hundred) at any given time.

The planned march against a camping site for travellers in the village of Wileroltigen was cancelled amid concerns that it would attract many extremists, would be too dangerous and expensive.
This follows a long campaign by the village that was borderline racist and definitively stereotyping Roma.

The proposal to have a place for Roma travellers in the village of Wileroltigen in the Canto of Aargau, the opposition is rising. They are planning a march to show their opposition, and the racist overtones of the slogans and the stereotypes they use are not to be underestimated. The march will take place on the 14th of August.
