The Women’s Roma Centre for the Affirmation of Roma and Other National Minorities (ŽRC Roma), a newly established association that works to protect and promote the rights of Roma women and women from other national minorities, has successfully completed the implementation of its first project.

This is a project entitled “Promotion and marking of important international dates with the aim of drawing attention to the position of Roma women from the city of Zenica and other cities of the Zenica-Doboj Canton”, which was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Refugees of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

The final conference of the “Delimo” mentoring program was held in Belgrade. It is an initiative implemented by the Roma Women’s Center Bibija and the Roma Students’ Initiative, with the support of UNICEF, with the aim of strengthening the leadership and activism of Roma girls through mentoring and intergenerational exchange of knowledge and experiences.

The exhibition “PhotoVoice” of the women’s advocacy club of the association LARGO Kyustendil under the motto “A Romni is ….” is presented by Sasho Kovachev from the Association in “Our Day”.

According to him, the photo exhibition is dedicated to successful Roma women and is part of a larger initiative, of a larger project called “I have a dream”. He also shared that a collection of short stories named “The Price of Success” has already been published as part of the initiative.
