European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) hosted the 11th European Platform for Roma Inclusion on the 27th and 28th of November. The main topic centred on the path from education to employment for young Roma.
Let’s hope thst this will bring something concrete.

Ladislav Body

The Czech Roma activist and Member of Parliament Ladislaw Body died a few days ago at the early age of 68. He engaged himself relentlessly for the cause of the Roma and for their rights, this in a country not known for its love of the Roma minority.

The Roma camp on the tracks of the former “petite ceinture” railway has been closed by the police yesterday, leaving 300 people without a lodging.
This, in spite of the normal winter pause on evictions in France.
