An alternative movement in the city of Berne, who live in old caravans and camps around Bern is fighting the city ordinances that require them to move every three months. Their lawyer suggested that the state recognise them as Travellers, so that they get the right to stay for 6 months at the same spot.
Notwhistanding the fact that this law allowing travellers to stay put for 6 months is somewhat weird, the suggestion is an interesting one.
