Inclusion
European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) hosted the 11th European Platform for Roma Inclusion on the 27th and 28th of November. The main topic centred on the path from education to employment for young Roma.

A Young Sinto
A young Sinto, Giano Weiss from the city of Paderborn, is engaging himself for the remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust in his city and for trying to establish the facts. He was received by the Prime Minister of the State of Northwest Westphalia.

Professor in Prešov
A Canadian ethnology professor studying Roma in the Prešov region has been arrested for possession of child pornography and for abducting an 11 years old girl.

Ten years ago, the European Court of Human Rights condemned the segregation of children, in this case 18 Roma who were placed in a school for children with mental impairments and asked for equal access for all children in the EU.

Laszlo Bogdan – More on Cserdi
More information on the case of Laszlo Bogdan, the mayor of Cserdi. On the fact that his conviction just came out in the press, it seems that the government was behind it, as it was not happy of his invitation to Syrian refugees. On the differing views among Roma, there are two views that contrast: one that is more civil right movement like, and one advocated by Laszlo Bogdan.

Sofia and Horse Carriages
The municipality of Sofia is planning to ban horse-drawn carriages from the centre of town. Reportedly it is for security reasons but it de-facto bans many Roma from the city centre and deprives them of their livelihood.
